First Year FAQs (Class of 2030)

Who are we?

VetText is a student-run supply store located on the second floor of the CSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital in room A219. Our store is a non-profit, giving back to students through scholarships and club donations!

What do I need?

STEP 1: From the top of the homepage, follow the link:

“Required items for 1st Years - 2030” 

STEP 2: After adding your purchases to the shopping cart, add a note to the ”Order special instructions” box stating that this is a first-year order before proceeding to the checkout page. 

Please note that the Order special instructions box is on the shopping cart page, not the checkout page. 

Orders must be placed by Friday, July 1st, 2026

Your order will be ready for pickup at our first-year pickup events during orientation on Monday, August 17th, and Tuesday, August 18th!

FAQ

What books should I buy? 

There are no required textbooks for students to purchase for the fall semester. There are recommended textbooks, and the vast majority of these are available either as an online resource or a hard copy through the CSU library.

What is your return policy?

You may return/exchange most items in new condition with original packaging and accessories within 30 days. Personalized embroidered items can not be returned. 

Can I have my things shipped to me now instead of picking them up at orientation?

Unfortunately, no, we cannot guarantee your items will arrive at you in time before you make your move to Fort Collins. To keep costs low for students, we ask that you place your orders by July 1st  so we can order supplies in bulk and allow sufficient time for them to arrive. This helps tremendously in driving down the cost of taxes and shipping.
